Film Institute For Immediate Release 2012 19th Annual Film Institute Shares SECRETS TO FILMMAKING IN TEXAS The following information is from Gwen Barbee, who advertises in our Guide.  Her advertising business is JR Collection, it’s a very nice fashion line of women’s clothing. However, Gwen Barbee does many other things besides having a fashion line.  One of her other talents is being the director of the Film Institute looking for talent through the Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce!  The proceeds benefit the Film Institute Scholarship Fund at Tarrant County College South Campus. Anyone interested in getting their “big break” in movies may want to attend this year’s 19th Annual Film Institute, sponsored by the Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce.  Held Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Colonial Country Club, the event takes place 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  Workshops presented include:  Screenwriting, Modeling, Acting and Film Production.  The Film Institute is open to persons aspiring to enter the film industry and to those already on their way.  Agent representatives from the Screen Actors Guild, The North Texas Film Commission, the A.I.F.
