| Film Institute For Immediate Release 2012 19th Annual Film Institute Shares SECRETS TO FILMMAKING IN TEXAS

Anyone interested in getting their “big break” in movies may want to attend this year’s 19th Annual Film Institute, sponsored by the Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce. Held Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Colonial Country Club, the event takes place 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Workshops presented include: Screenwriting, Modeling, Acting and Film Production. The Film Institute is open to persons aspiring to enter the film industry and to those already on their way. Agent representatives from the Screen Actors Guild, The North Texas Film Commission, the A.I.F. Dallas and the Lone Star Film Society will be on hand to answer questions. This year’s focus centers around the “Business of Filmmaking in Texas,” providing insider information about how to participate in all facets of the movie-making business. In addition, a very special highlight of the day is the “Rising Star Award Luncheon, where those who have made their strides in the industry are honored. Proceeds benefit the Film Institute Scholarship Fund at Tarrant County College South Campus.
